Ruth Hardy Schmidt graduated with a BS in Nursing from the University of Utah and received her Juris Doctorate from BYU’s J. Reuben Law School. She was the first nurse-attorney in the State of Utah and practiced law for a number of years. Ruth has served on the Directory Boards of not-for-profit organizations in the past and has served on Book of Mormon Central’s Board of Directors since its earlier formative years. Ruth assists Book of Mormon Central as an executive editor, researcher and assistant. She and her husband (Larry) have three children and a growing number of grandchildren.
