Elder Eyring told a story in the recent general conference about his father, Henry Eyring ,Sr, a brilliant chemist, who taught at his PhD alma mater Princeton from 1931-1946 and his views on creationism.  He wrote Faith of a Scientist explaining some of his views, and the more recent volume Mormon Scientist: The Life and Faith of Henry Eyring.
