Elder Eyring told a story in the recent general conference about his father, Henry Eyring ,Sr, a brilliant chemist, who taught at his PhD alma mater Princeton from 1931-1946 and his views on creationism.  He wrote Faith of a Scientist explaining some of his views, and the more recent volume Mormon Scientist: The Life and Faith of Henry Eyring.    His views (and those of several other prominent General Authorities) contrasted sharply with those of Elder Joseph Fiielding Smith.  This article discusses those differences in a non-accusatory manner making good reading.
