The Church History Museum of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints recently launched a new online exhibit titled “‘Exceedingly Valiant for Courage’: Bravery in the Book of Mormon”. The exhibit’s artworks portray how figures in the Book of Mormon displayed courage to declare their faith and defend their families. It is part of the museum’s ongoing series of online art exhibits highlighting the stories of the Book of Mormon.
To help class members understand that the word of God will lead them to Jesus Christ and to encourage them to “nourish the word” in their hearts (Alma 32:40).
Elder Jeffrey R. Holland, of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles and founder of the Religious Studies Center, will speak at the campus devotional on Tuesday, August 16.

1830: The Book of Mormon is first published by Joseph Smith in Palmyra, New York, as "The Book of Mormon: An Account Written by the Hand of Mormon upon Plates Taken from the Plates of Nephi." According to Smith's account, the Book of Mormon was originally written in otherwise unknown characters referred to as "reformed Egyptian" engraved on golden plates.
To help class members learn how to recognize and refute false teachings and stay true to their testimonies of Jesus Christ.
