Book of Mormon Central scholars complete expedition to Veracruz, Mexico

Four International scholars representing Book of Mormon Central (Kirk Magleby and LDS Mexican archaeologist Javier Tovar), Book of Mormon Archaeological Forum (Doug Christensen) and Australian explorer/adventurer Warren Aston recently completed an expedition in Veracruz, Mexico  Four goals included: (1.) Follow up on the BMC October 2016 expedition which investigated 7 potential sites for Hill Ramah/Cumorah, (2.) Solidify textual criteria for Hill Ramah/Cumorah, (3.) Develop a model for future expeditions to other sites of interest and (4.) Determine the likelihood that either Cerro Vigia or Cerro San Martin Pajapan is Hill Ramah/Cumorah.

A report(s) of the Book of Mormon Central/BMAF expedition will be forthcoming The four man international team gathered evidence, mostly comparing the landscape with the text, that the Hill Ramah/Cumorah is most likely in the Tuxtla mountain range in the state of Veracruz. We are satisfied that it is one of two dominant hills which satisfy the requirements of the Jaredite march "by the Hill Cumorah, then across to Ablom by the sea." They met with a town "elder" designated as a historian. His info was fascinating and confirming of much of the required parameters in the text. They also took an exploratory boat ride in the bays of the Gulf of Mexico east of these hills.
