In offering The Book of Mormon, with its multitudes of interacting characters, scores of place names and geographical descriptions, and complicated story and chronology, a fraud would have exposed Joseph Smith to a host of risks. Additionally, there’s the question of what price a prophet and religion-builder would be willing to pay.
The devotional was organized by the Church’s Native American Initiative Committee. Elder Andersen of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, his wife, Sister Kathy Andersen, and Elder Larry J. Echo Hawk, General Authority Seventy, spoke at the devotional. Elder J. Devn Cornish, General Authority Seventy, conducted the meeting.
As another testament of Jesus Christ, the Book of Mormon is the word of God. It is a sacred invitation to come unto Christ, to feel His love, to follow Him, to know Him and to receive every good gift, including peace in this life and exaltation in the world to come.
