Book of Mormon Central and Interpreter Foundation collaborate on common goals

A typical example of the cooperation between these two outstanding LDS-oriented private institutions can be found in a book review done by the Interpreter Foundation and shared with Book of Mormon Central to be housed in its archives.  This particular book review is shown only as an example and does not necessarily represent the views of Book of Mormon Central, any of its principals and authors or The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Abstract. A chapter of Adam Miller’s "Future Mormon."  A section of this book concerns Jacob’s encounter with Sherem in Jacob 7. While novel, Miller’s treatment of Jacob and Sherem appears inadequate. He overlooks features of the text that seem to subvert his unconventional conclusions about them. This essay identifies a number of such matters, falling in four major categories, and shares thoughts on the need for perspective when discussing Jacob’s conduct — or the conduct of any prophet, for that matter. It also highlights the jeopardy we face of being the second group to fall for Sherem’s lies.
