Come Follow Me: Easter and Holy Week Study Guide
April 15–21. “O Grave, Where Is Thy Victory?”
KnoWhys
Come Follow Me follows the last week of the Savior's mortal ministry, culminating in His infinite Atonement and resurrection. We can draw closer to the Savior by studying each day of the last week of Christ's life leading up to Easter Sunday. Under each day of the week you will find articles and videos to help you study, teach, and ponder the life and mission of Jesus Christ.
Lynne Hilton Wilson, "Easter," Come Follow Me: The New Testament, 2019.
Palm Sunday
Palm Sunday is not a regular part of Latter-day Saint observance, and not even all Christian churches celebrate it. Nevertheless, recounting Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem has a long history in the Christian tradition, and it plays an important role in the liturgies of the Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, and some Protestant churches. Celebrating Palm Sunday truly opens Holy Week, setting it apart from other weeks by focusing my thoughts and faith on Christ my king.

Maundy Thursday
Reading Materials
While Latter-day Saints do not formally observe the day, the events commemorated in the gospel texts for Thursday hold great significance for us. Because we partake of the sacrament weekly, the Last Supper has particular meaning. Further, insights from restoration scripture and latter-day apostles and teachers regarding the atonement make the events in Gethsemane especially important. But Thursday also marks some beautiful final teachings of Jesus to his closest disciples, as well as other, difficult experiences-such as his betrayal, abuse, abandonment, and false judgment-that were important parts of his “descending below all things” (D&C 88:6; 122:8).
